Motorcycle crash near Leo sends one man to the hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - One person is in critical condition Saturday night following a motorcycle crash near Leo.

At around 7:06 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 16000 block of State Road 1, near Leo. This was in reference to a crash involving two motorcycles.

Once officers and medics got there, they found one victim at the scene.

According to a a preliminary investigation, both motorcycles were heading northbound on State Road 1, near the 16000 block. Police say the lead motorcycle attempted to turn around in the roadway to go back south when the motorcycle following, collided with it. Police say the adult female driver of the lead motorcycle was not injured, but the adult male driver of the second motorcycle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

This incident remains under investigation.
